CYBR 650

I have restarted this CYBR608 blog (2015) for my CYBR650 class while earning my MS in Cybersecurity with Bellevue University.  This is my last semester and I will be done!  My weekly blog post assignments will be posted here.

For week one, a little about me:

I started with a used Commodore 64 in 1985 (note – I had never even seen a computer during high school) and have been hooked on technology since. My progression of systems after the C64 was a C128, an Amiga 500, an Amiga 2000, and finally a used 486SX Intel box (I still used the A2000 as my main system). As the Amiga died out, I finally gave in to the Intel Clone wave, but I decided to use OS/2 as my main OS with Windows as a side. When OS/2 was finally killed off by IBM, I switched to eComstation. Somehow I started using Linux as my main system, it just creeped up on me. The only real distros I have tried were Mandrake and Suse. However, at the same time I was using Gentoo, building my own systems. I have not booted Windows on my home systems in years (I do have Win VMs) and I guard my kernel configs like holy documents.
